ALEX METRIC

l_63800fb2c9a944fbb59c160f78f0f331.jpgI’ve been listening to Alex Metric remixes for a while now and every single time I just found them wicked! I don’t really get why Alex Metric isn’t more famous down here, so I hope by listening to few of his remixes and tracks you’ll find them as addictive as I do.

I’ve never seen him live yet so I can’t really tell how extended his talent is, but if you are in UK this month go and see him and let me know if he is as good in live as he is in a studio!

Alex Metric gigs:

December 11 - The Royal, Derby (UK)

December 18 - A38 Boat, Budapest

December 20 - Marine Parade Christmas Party @ Coalition, Brighton (UK)

December 31 - Warehouse Project, Manchester (UK)

The hooded brats are back with two new remixes while they are locked up in the studio finishing mixing their first official debut album that will be launched in 2010.

Drown in the Now (...In the Deep End - South Central Mix) - Crystal Method

FLUSH (South Central Remix) - LOSERS

After performing in many major festivals across France last summer, the Brighton kids will be performing a DJ set at Transmusicales, Rennes - for the 3rd time - on December 5th, before going back on tour in UK with their pals, The Prodigy.

Let’s watch the video of their last performance at Transmusicales :

A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS

0413_strangers.jpgIf Joy Division still existed I’m pretty sure that today they would sound like A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS.

The shoegaze experimental rock trio is famous for being “the New York City's "loudest band".

Largely influenced by psychedelic and heavy rock, APTBS is - I think - one of the most mind-blowing stage performers I have ever seen. APTBS set is just trippy as hell and the songs completely out of space.

After a debut album in 2007, APTBS launched its new LP “Exploding Head” few months ago.

The new single “KEEP SLIPPING AWAY” will be released on December 7th.

This one is actually one of my favourite SOUTH CENTRAL remixes, one of the most well crafted the hooded gang had ever released!!

BABY MONSTER

13858_328736120227_641365227_9621691_6541365_n.jpgLet me introduce you to my new musical crush: BABY MONSTER.

Baby Monster is one of the most interesting band’s to emerge from America in recent times and have already been praised online, as well as remixing the debut single ‘Pieces Of You’ from the hotly-tipped Wolf Gang to stunning effect. Along with lead single, ‘Medicine Man’ from Zero 7’s latest album.

Danny Sternbaum has established himself as one of the most exciting new producers out there. Marty Larson has played in various Oregon bands over the years, building a reputation as a great creative musician.

On the flipside is the brilliant re-working by the up-and coming Arveene & Misk. Already endorsed by Erol Alkan, this Irish duo are set for big things in the next few months having already remixed Mr Oizo. Their version of ‘Ultra Violence And Beethoven’ is great even if I rather like the remix by Mondkopf .

But I'm pretty sure that other remix are coming soon.

Saturday

Saturday, oh Saturday
How cruel of you to go away
You turn us on
And you don't even have the decency to stay
We think that we're so cool
And make the others drool
Walking like a chameleon
Turn around and turn me on
And make that sound you do so well
'Cause I’m not dancing

I’m just shifting weight
I thought that you could tell
