LITTLE JOY

little-joy-2009-zazzo-11.jpgIt seems that The Strokes don’t really understand the meaning of holidays! Or at least it doesn’t mean « putting their brain off » like we – normal people – do! No, when The Strokes take some time on their own, they are pretty productive:

- Albert Hammond Jr has already launched is 2nd EP
- Nikolaï made a documentary and work on other artistic project
- Julian Casablancas reccorded « My Drive Thru » with Pharrell Williams & Santigold for the Converse advertising campaign « Connectivity »…

Now it’s Fabrizio Moretti who presents to us is new band Little Joy, with Binki Shapiro & Rodrigo Amarante (ex Los Hermanos) and a 1st album launched in November 4th, 2008.

What is great about The Strokes b-sides project is that you’re never really surprised or lost. From every different other project, they are bounded to this 70’s influence and whatever they do it’s strictly linked with this particular atmosphere!

Little Joy sounds a lot like The Strokes, but with happier lyrics than those written by Julian Casablancas.

Little Joy is not the most original band ever! They just wrote songs that make you feel happy & light! You’re transported in the 70’s "stolen" moments of insouciance.

Enjoy!
